On 9 December the Befriending team held a volunteer event at Sun House, Chesham.
The event was a wonderful opportunity for people to socialise and for Bucks Mind to say thank you to our amazing volunteers.
The event also included a ‘Meet the Expert’ session, where more experienced volunteers were available to answer questions and discuss some of the more challenging aspects of Befriending.
“The Meet the Expert session worked really well,” says Vicky Royal, Befriending Team Lead. “We talked, among other things, about partnership endings, keeping the boundaries and additional support and activities that volunteers may be able to signpost to. It was lovely to mingle and chat with others and also to hear the views and learning experiences of all our volunteers. We can’t thank them enough for their time and involvement with Bucks Mind.”
