Silver Sunday, which this year is on 4th October, has been running since 2012 and celebrates older people and their contribution to their local communities. In previous years, many events have been organised across the county. This year the celebrations are looking slightly different due to the impact of COVID-19. Now, more than ever before, it is important to support older residents in our community.

The Amersham community are arranging for Silver Sunday hampers to be delivered to 500 older people in the local area. These will include lots of goodies including sandwiches, cakes and tea. The Bucks Mind Older Adults’ Service team have been able to nominate service users living in the Amersham and surrounding areas to receive a hamper.

The team would like all our Older Adults’ Service users to know that we are thinking of them on Silver Sunday.
