This year marks the 40th anniversary of Volunteers’ Week, 3-9 June, a UK-wide campaign established in 1984 to thank volunteers and highlight the vital role of volunteering.
This week is an opportunity to recognise the fantastic contribution our volunteers make to Buckinghamshire Mind’s services and our communities. We are so grateful to all our volunteers for their time, hard work, passion, energy and commitment. We simply could not deliver all that we do without our incredible volunteers. Thank you.
Buckinghamshire Mind’s volunteers help support our services such as: Befriending, Counselling, Wellbeing and our Friends in Need and Mind the Gap peer support groups. Added to this, we applaud our volunteer fundraisers, Trustees and more.
Each year, well over one hundred volunteers support the vital delivery of our mental health services and fundraising efforts.
In 2023/24, our volunteers gave 7,557 hours of their time to Bucks Mind. This figure is even higher when you include the time given by the nearly 800 young people who give their time as Peer Mentors in 54 schools.
Thank you so much and all our volunteers, for your amazing contribution to Buckinghamshire Mind!
