World Mental Health Day is on Monday 10th October. The theme for 2022 is ‘Making Mental Health & Wellbeing for All a Global Priority’.

Buckinghamshire Mind supports the mental health wellbeing of everyone in our communities through the diversity of our services. We ensure that anyone can access a variety of services, no matter what their financial circumstances, by providing some services either at a low-cost, subsidised rate or completely free of charge.

In order to ensure that Bucks Mind is able to continue to provide these free or low-cost mental health services, we need support from the public. We rely on donations and community fundraising, which underpin our vital mental health services.

That’s why, this World Mental Health Day, we’ve launched our first ever Text to Donate appeal.

Bucks Mind is asking for people to donate £5 by texting WELLBEING to 70480 to help ensure that we can be here to support our community’s mental health needs now and in the future.

Last year we supported nearly 11,000 local people. Our services really do make a huge difference to people’s lives:

I don’t feel trapped in my house now. I was scared to leave the house. I still feel anxious but I am now able to do things I haven’t done for years.” – Bucks Mind service user

If you are able, please help us to continue to support those who need us by donating today.

To promote this appeal, we’ve launched a video featuring real stories of people who have experienced mental ill-health and been supported by Mind.

Every line comes directly from someone’s experience, but they have been interlaced to tell a story many people can relate to. The video uses actors so as not to ask too much from those living with mental health problems. However, all actors had a connection to our cause and believed in the work that we do.

Please watch our video below.
