General Profile

I am retired from career in Quality Management. I have been a volunteer Befriender since 2010. I enjoy the variation and challenge of working with different people where beneath the surface of mental health difficulties there is generally a lonely and very nice person having to deal with a way of life that few can contemplate.

I have been married for fifty years to Bobbie. We have two children; Katie, who lives locally, and Emma, who lives in Ireland with our two grandchildren.

I enjoy spending time with my family; mountain and trail walking; running; riding my motorbikes (classic and modern); and I’m an Oxford United season ticket holder.
